After years in consulting, we kept seeing the same thing: businesses pouring real money into technology that didn't fit how they actually worked, and didn't respect the people using it. So we started Populus to do it differently. We build systems that make a business run as one connected operation instead of a pile of tools that don't talk to each other.
Populus is the tree behind Pando, a single organism made of thousands of stems that all share one root system. One living thing, working as one. That's the idea.

Serges Himbaza
Founder & Managing Partner
Serges leads the architecture, engineering, and delivery behind every Populus build. Across more than eight years at Microsoft, in enterprise consulting, and running his own firm, he's been the bridge between business strategy and technical execution, taking ambiguous operational problems and turning them into systems that engineering teams can actually build. His work runs from Dynamics 365 CRM and ERP implementations for Fortune 500 clients like Ford and Sony Pictures, to a $1.3B construction analytics platform, to building Populus from the ground up. He thinks like an owner first and an engineer second, which is exactly why the software ends up fitting the business instead of the other way around. Serges holds a B.S. in Quantitative Economics from Duke.

Christophe Jobin
Senior Partner
Christophe leads business development and design at Populus, and he's the first point of contact for most of the businesses we work with. He's the one who opens the door, finding the right owners, understanding what they're up against, and bringing them into the Populus environment. With more than seven years across founder-operator roles and enterprise digital work, he knows the technical side well enough to spot what's possible, frame the opportunity, and hand Serges a clear picture to take deep. That partnership is the engine of the firm. Christophe makes the introduction and sets the vision, Serges closes it with the technical depth, and together they make sure what gets built feels like your business from day one. He founded Flowvio, a design and development studio acquired by Populus in 2026, and studied Business and Entrepreneurship at the University of Arkansas.
